bbc award winner

just watched the 1st season and i'm still making up my mind. here's the summary from netflix:

The quirky Gallagher family includes a mum who's disappeared, a boozing dad and six very dissimilar kids: surrogate mother Fiona, moody Lip, in-the-closet Ian, bipolar Debbie, rowdy Carl and toddler Liam. Living in a Manchester housing project, the anarchic clan gets into all manners of misadventures. The critically acclaimed and hilarious British series has received numerous accolades, including a BAFTA TV Award for Best Drama Series.

I love it, and I'm so bummed that I can't get the rest of the seasons here. They made more, but they don't have them for US DVD players. Sigh.

I LOVE this show. Or at least I loved all the episodes with James McAvoy. It's still on but his character and fiona (real life wife) aren't on it so it's just not the same. While watching it I tried to imagine a show like it on regular American tv. Impossible.
